From zero to market. Full brand and launch strategy for a Johns Hopkins-founded MedTech startup.
The technology was ready. The brand, the launch, and the strategy needed to be built from scratch.
In Motion

NeuroAnimation is a medical device company founded by Johns Hopkins University researchers, offering groundbreaking virtual reality technology for stroke and neuro rehabilitation. Their VR platform has been clinically tested in Ivy League hospitals and medical centers across the country, helping stroke patients recover motor function through immersive, game-based therapy.
As their fractional Creative Director and marketing lead, I was brought in to build the brand infrastructure and go-to-market strategy from the ground up.
That scope included full visual identity development, website design, SEO strategy, photography, videography, podcast production, YouTube channel management, social media strategy and management, paid advertising, and grand opening event execution for their first physical medical center.
Within 30 days of launch, the brand had generated 6,000+ followers and 150,000+ organic views. Paid media scaled to $250,000+ in managed ad spend per quarter. Every brand touchpoint, from the website experience to the content reaching patients, hospital partners, and the broader medical community, was developed and overseen through this engagement.
The result was a brand that could credibly represent a Johns Hopkins-founded technology on a national stage.
"Layla was absolutely fundamental in bringing NeuroAnimation to market nationwide. Her ability to translate complex medical concepts into compelling modern marketing is truly impressive. She focused on patient storytelling, which built trust and grew our online presence faster than I could have imagined. She didn't just build the strategy. She built the system, and taught our entire team along the way."
